Yes that has happened to keep the website space fresh. You can access over 100 items in the archive through search or index . Archived articles will not be visible in blog view, section listings, category listings. The archive menu is down the left hand column. Some of  these older articles will be displayed through the Vault Blast link on the Top Menu.
